Faculty of Islamic Economics and International Relations

Based on the Decree No. PF–5416 dated 16.04.2018 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to radically improve the activities in the religious and educational sphere," the International Islamic Studies Academy of Uzbekistan was established, and the faculty was organized as part of its educational and scientific structural units.

The faculty operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" and "On the National Program for Personnel Training," as well as the regulations approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Order No. 159, May 30, 2008) "On the Faculty of Higher Education Institutions" and "On the Departments of Higher Education Institutions."

The faculty offers the following programs:

(5231000) "Foreign Countries' Economy and Area Studies (Muslim Countries)";

(5231100) "World Economy and International Economic Relations (by regions and types of activities)";
(5330200) "Informatics and Information Technologies (Information Technologies and Communication)";
(5111600) "National Idea, Fundamentals of Spirituality and Legal Education."

The main tasks of the faculty are as follows:

To train highly qualified specialists capable of solving theoretical and practical tasks before state and public organizations in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" and "On the National Program for Personnel Training" in the bachelor's degree fields of "International Relations," "Islamic Economics and Finance," "Pilgrimage Tourism," "World Economy and International Economic Relations," "Informatics and Information Technologies," and "National Idea, Fundamentals of Spirituality and Legal Education," meeting modern requirements;

To coordinate the scientific research activities of the departments within the faculty.

The faculty may cooperate with enterprises, institutions, organizations, and foreign educational institutions based on agreements concluded in the prescribed manner to expand the integration of education, science, and production and to increase the effectiveness of education and upbringing.

The faculty conducts the training of specialists in a full-time (daytime) format, separated from production. To improve the efficiency of the educational process, new departments may be established within the faculty, taking into account the requirements of consumers of personnel and the specifics of the field.

The faculty unites departments related to the bachelor's degree programs included in its structure, as well as other departments close to the faculty's specialization in terms of activity content.

There are 4 departments operating within the faculty:

Department of "Islamic Economics and Finance, Pilgrimage Tourism";

Department of "International Relations";

Department of "Modern Information and Communication Technologies";

Department of "Social Sciences and Law."
